"Chelsea, I haven't been completely honest about the reason for our trip here." On November 20, 2017 amidst the 300-feet high Redwood Trees and the Northern California coastline at Ventana Big Sur, Michael asked Chelsea to spend the rest of their lives together.

Michael and Chelsea had been spending some time in Northern California's Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur before they visited Chelsea's family in Los Angeles for Thanksgiving.

The night of the proposal, Mike asked Chelsea if she wanted to take a walk on Ventana Big Sur's 160 forested acres before their dinner reservation at The Sur House.

As they strolled through the majestic forest, they stumbled upon a couple taking pictures by Ventana's Redwood Cathedral, claiming that the lighting was perfect. The couple offered to take a picture of Michael and Chelsea with Michael's phone. As soon as they took the first picture, they grabbed a professional camera and Michael began his proposal speech. Michael and the photographer had planned this scheme all along!

During and after the proposal, the photographer took photos of the happy couple in Big Sur's magical forest and coastline.
